Gladiatorerna, cd-rom game

Cd-rom game based on the swedish version of the TV show American Gladiators. ‘Gladiatorerna’ features all of the swedish gladiators in 3D and five of the most popular events. It is a 2 player sportsgame that mix 2D and 3D events and the player can test his skills against all of the featured gladiators. The cd-rom game was released around christmas 2002 and was a big sales hit in Sweden.

All of the movements are based on motion capture recorded with the female gladiator ‘Elektra’ to get the right accuracy and feel of the animation. Kaktus Film handled the whole production from game concept and design to 3D graphics, interface, carachter design and music. For the programing part we hired some of our best freelancing partners to work inhouse with us.
